Special Needs Friendly Screenings
Special Needs Friendly Screenings are designed for children, adults and their family and friends.
We have been told by many parents that they find going to a public show difficult as some children (and adults) with special needs have sensory sensitivities to sound and light; they may also disturb other cinemagoers by making noise or needing to go out for a break; parent's words not ours.
For Special Needs Friendly Screenings the soundtrack is turned down a little and the house lights remain on low in the auditorium. If anyone makes a noise or moves around then that is absolutely fine!
This is something that is now a regular part of the programme at Wells Film Centre with around 10 screenings a year mainly, in school holidays, and you can find details of upcoming screening below as they are announced.
These screenings are already very well supported and if you think they would benefit you then please come along.
Of course ALL are welcome whatever creed, colour, race, disability or non disability to ALL our performance's; we are a totally inclusive cinema to ALL.
