Now we have settled back in to doing the things we love, Wells Film Centre Cinema has been hard at work making sure our venue is even safer so that you can continue to enjoy new movies with a captivated audience. These procedures have been developed in line with Government guidance. When visiting the cinema, things may work a little differently for now - here's some of the core new policies and procedures you can expect to find when you visit us...

Customers no longer are required to wear a face covering during their visit to us. However, we ask all customer who can to continue to wear a face covering to protect themselves and their fellow customer and staff.

You can find information on what we are doing to make your visit safer below and in our foyers. We ask that all of our guests follow the guidelines we have established and the instructions of our staff at all times while at our venue, in order that we can help make the cinema experience as safe as we can for all of our guests and our staff. We will not assume any liability for a failure to comply with our safety protocols.

Booking & Payments

Book in advance: We strongly recommend booking in advance although you are welcome to turn up on the door and if there are tickets, we will sell them to you. You can book tickets right here on the website 24/7, or over the telephone 01749 673195 during box office opening hours which are daily 1pm to 9pm & Wednesday 11am to 9pm. You can also book in person at the cinema but please be aware only during box office hours. Unfortunately, when a performance is going in, we may not be able to book you in for another show.

All tickets booked are allocated at the time of booking. All rows are available for booking however we are leaving a spacer seat between bookings on the same row.

In the cinema, use contactless payments when possible. We accept contactless payments up to £45 when paying by credit or with debit card, Apple Pay and Google Pay. If you do not have Contactless, the next preferable method is credit or debit card, and PIN pads will be sanitised after each transaction. We are still taking cash.

If you are unwell and cannot make your showtime, please don't visit the cinema especially if your symptoms related to Covid-19. You can simply send us a message via the Contact page, and someone will give you a call to discuss your options. Although we appreciate that things change quickly, please do try to give us advance notice if you are unable to make it.

Hygiene & Cleanliness

Counter Screens: We have installed perspex screens on all our sales counters, to protect staff and customers, these are staying in place for the time being.

Hand Sanitiser: There are multiple liquid sanitiser points around the building - please make use of them. They are positioned at the entrance to the building, before entering the corridor, in the toilet lobbies and screen entrances. Our sanitiser is formulated at 70% alcohol.

Contact Point Sanitising: Our staff are sanitising all contact points within the cinema at regular intervals. This includes but not limited to, door handles, push plates, sinks and taps. In addition, all plastic parts of all seats are sanitised after every performance.

Enhanced Cleaning Regime: Whilst we already have very high standards of cleanliness, we have enhanced our training, equipment and cleaning routines to ensure we operate in the safest possible environment.

Concerns: Whilst every effect in this new period is being made, should you feel we are not meeting a requirement please direct your concerns to the manager or shift supervisor.
